Citywide Youth Olympics

Come cheer your junior athletes from all over Jackson as they compete in the annual citywide Olympic Track & Field Events. Children can get "Fit for Life" this summer as they train and compete in this fun event. Summer day camps and day cares wishing to participate can contact

Jackson Idol

@ Carl Perkins Civic Center

Citywide Talent Show with winning performers from Area Day Camps will compete in a Final Competition against each other to see who will become the next "Jackson Idol". Talent must be limited to 3-4 minutes. Contestants will perform before a panel of Judges and may perform music, dance, poetry, acting, soloist, duet, etc. Winning sites will receive a trophy and plaque.
